China Resources (“CR Group”) is pleased to announce that five of our business units were honored the “2022 Exemplary Carbon Neutrality Initiatives” Award unveiled recently by the China Business Executives Academy, Dalian, a body directly governed by the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission (SASAC) of the State Council.

Among these, second place prizes were secured by CR Power (Hezhou)’s circular economy demonstration project, which integrates power generation, grid, consumption, and storage; and CR Land’s low-carbon construction project in International Low Carbon City. Meanwhile, CR Cement (Jinsha)’s combination of yellow phosphorus and carbide slag, CR Power (Shenzhen)’s multithreading carbon capture test bench demonstration project, and CR Capital’s Green Finance Action Plan for Carbon Peaking and Neutrality were awarded the third prize. Winning these awards highlighted widespread recognition from relevant authorities and industry experts towards CR Group's efforts and accomplishments in carbon neutrality.

In recent years, CR Group has diligently adhered to the SASAC’s strategic decision to achieve carbon peaking and neutrality by hastening the elimination of backward production capacities, promoting green and low-carbon businesses, boosting innovative production and operational models, and employing energy-saving and carbon reduction technologies in response to the national goal of realizing its carbon peaking and neutrality.
