Led by Mr. Wang Chuandong, Vice General Manager of CR and team leader of the CR Trade Delegation Team, China Resources played an active role in the 5th China International Import Expo (CIIE) that took place at the National Convention & Exhibition Center during November 4-10. On behalf of CR, Mr. Wang attended the grand opening ceremony of the CIIE and the Hongqiao International Economic Forum held on November 4. On November 5, he attended a high-level forum entitled “RCEP Spurs Higher-level Opening Up” and sub-forums on “Acting on the Global Development Initiative to Build World-class Enterprises”.
During the CR Team signing ceremony of the Trade Delegations of Central Enterprises on November 6, CR subsidiaries signed purchasing and cooperation agreements with business representatives from 16 countries and regions, including the United States, Germany, Netherland and Australia, for a total contract sum of more than USD 357 million with the single largest contract worth USD 125 million.
The CIIE has been China’s gateway to establish the new development paradigm, the platform to boost high-level opening up, and an international public good shared globally. This year marks the fifth consecutive time CR has taken part in the China International Import Expo. The Group’s Trade Delegation Team consisted of representatives from different units, ranging from the Strategic Management Department along with the Environmental Health and the Safety Department at CR Group to CR Vanguard, CR Power, CR Pharmaceutical Commercial Group, CR Healthcare and CR Chemical Innovative Materials. Looking ahead, CR will further leverage the CIIE to strengthen external collaboration and foster a more open world economy with its future partners.
