On 17 September 2021, the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council (“SASAC”) and the Tibet Autonomous Region (“TAR”) held the "Central Enterprises Aid Tibet Work Conference and State-owned Central Enterprises Helping Tibet’s High-quality Development Conference" in Lhasa in order to conscientiously implement General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important instructions on Tibet work and the Party’s strategy for governing Tibet in the new era, display the achievements of central enterprises’ aid to Tibet, and unveil a new chapter of Tibet’s development. Wang Xiangming, Chairman of China Resources Group (“CR”), attended the conference.

The meeting was presided over by Ren Hongbin, CPC Committee Member and Vice Chairman of SASAC. Wu Yingjie, Secretary of the CPC Committee of TAR, and Hao Peng, Secretary of the CPC Committee and Chairman of SASAC, delivered important speeches. Leaders from SASAC, local SASACs, TAR, governments and heads of Central Enterprises attended the conference.

During the conference, Chairman Wang Xiangming visited the "Exhibition of Achievements of Aiding Tibet during the 13th Five-Year Plan of State-owned Central Enterprises" and met with Tibet-based staff at China Resources Power (“CR Power”) and China Resources Snow Breweries (“CR Snow Breweries”) to understand CR’s development and business operations in Tibet. He also extended the warm greetings on behalf of the group to the devoted workforce in the Tibetan Plateau and thanked them for their hard work and extensive achievements in many aspects. Chairman Wang reiterated that CR has always insisted on taking industrial aid to Tibet as the fundamental way to help Tibet achieve independent and sustainable development. He hopes that all business units will vigorously promote the “old Tibet spirit”, implement the initiatives defined in the conference, and help Tibet develop its own advantages, thus making greater contributions to the socio-economic development of Tibet.
