China Resources Group (“CR”) participated in the 3rd China International Import Expo (“CIIE”) at the Shanghai National Convention and Exhibition Center during 4-10 November 2020 with a delegation led by Wang Chuncheng, CR’s Vice General Manager and head of trade team. The CR delegation is principally formed by business units including the Group’s Strategy Management Department, China Resources University, China Resources Enterprise, China Resources Vanguard, China Resources Pharmaceutical Commercial, China Resources Chemical Innovative Materials and China Resources Gas.

At the agreement signing ceremony of Chinese Resources Group of the CIIE Central SOE Trade Mission, CR and its subsidiaries signed purchase agreements or memoranda of understanding with the representatives from the enterprisesand government organizationsof 12 countries and regions including the United Kingdom, Ireland, Denmark, New Zealand, Indonesia, Japan, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and South Korea. Ms Keira Lloyd, Counselor of the Government of Northern Ireland in China, and Zhang Meifang, Chinese Consul General in Northern Ireland, delivered speeches respectively at the signing ceremony between CR Pharmaceutical Commercial and the Invest Northern Ireland.

In the third consecutive year that CR has participated in CIIE, the number of agreements signed at the expo continued to increase with steady trading volume compared with the previous two years despite the adverse circumstances such as changes in import policies and the impact of the epidemic. On the back of the collaboration on the major areas such as food, agricultural products and bulk commodities, procurements of medical equipment as well as pharmaceutical and healthcare products were added. Next, CR will thoroughly study and implement the core philosophy of Chairman Xi Jinping's keynote speech at the opening ceremony of the 3rd CIIE, to resolutely implement the comprehensive opening-up policy, drive the innovative development of foreign trade, and contribute to stronger foreign economic and trade cooperation.
