On June 29, 2018 Xiong'an-Silicon Valley International Medicine and Health Sci-tech Innovation Summit was jointly hosted by China Resources Group (CRG) and the internationally renowned incubator and accelerator enterprises — Plug and Play (hereinafter referred to as PNP) . The summit, which was supported by Xiong'an New Area Management Committee, China Medical and Health Development Foundation and other units, aimed to boost sci-tech cooperation and communication in international medicine and health. CRG Deputy General Manager Chen Lang addressed the opening ceremony.

CRG and PNP signed a strategic cooperation agreement at the Summit, reaching agreement to take advantage of CRG’s diversified industries and PNP’s innovative ecological incubation to jointly build an creative ecosystem for the development of leading high-tech industries in Xiong'an New District.

An unveiling ceremony was also held for CRG Association for Science and Technology, National Offshore Innovation and Entrepreneurship Base for Overseas Talent (CR), Phoenix School of ophthalmology at the Xiong’an Campus of China Resources University.

The Summit also invited 16 project teams from Silicon Valley and 5 domestic innovation project teams for roadshows, during which guests from China Association of Pharmaceutical Commerce, McKinsey and other units gave keynote speeches.

Serving as a communication platform for the government of Xiong’an New Area, large companies, investment institutions and road show projects, the Summit provided potential “unicorn” companies for medicine and health with an opportunity to exchange opinions with the government of Xiong’an New Area. In the meantime, it also accumulated innovation resources in the big health section for CRG, to help create a global innovation highland in this new area and develop leading high-tech industries related to medicine and health.
