Chairman Wang Xiangming Attends HKCEA 2025 Spring Reception

B5k7LzKelpeA3G214gz2M_副本.jpgOn February 14, the Hong Kong Chinese Enterprises Association (HKCEA), in collaboration with Invest Hong Kong (InvestHK) of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) Government, hosted the HKCEA 2025 Spring Reception. John Lee Ka-Chiu, Chief Executive of the HKSAR, and Zheng Yanxiong, the Director of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the HKSAR, attended and delivered keynote speeches. Key leaders from the Office for Safeguarding National Security in the HKSAR, the Office of the Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the HKSAR, and the People’s Liberation Army Hong Kong Garrison, along with HKSAR government officials, Executive Council and Legislative Council members, leaders of major Hong Kong associations and political groups, prominent business figures, representatives of foreign chambers of commerce in Hong Kong and over 1,000 delegates from Chinese and foreign enterprises attended the event. Mr. Wang Xiangming, Chairman of China Resources Group, was invited to attend the Reception, accompanied by Mr. Lan Yi, Vice General Manager and Secretary of the Board of the Group.

In his address, Chief Executive John Lee expressed appreciation for HKCEA’s effort in uniting Chinese enterprises, fostering economic growth, and contributing to Hong Kong’s social and business sectors. He emphasized that in the new year, the HKSAR Government will continue to drive reforms and innovation, strengthening a stable momentum in Hong Kong’s development. He pledged to lead the business and social communities to seize emerging opportunities, leveraging Hong Kong’s strategic position as a global connector, to expand international economic and trade networks, and deepen ties with traditional markets, while fostering collaborations with emerging economies.

Director Zheng Yanxiong commended Chinese enterprises in Hong Kong for their contributions in safeguarding livelihoods, creating jobs, and boosting trade, thereby supporting the sustainable development of the HKSAR. He acknowledged HKCEA’s efforts in uniting Chinese enterprises, actively offering policy recommendations and facilitating economic exchanges, which have played a key role in advancing Hong Kong’s transition from stability to prosperity. He encouraged Chinese enterprises and HKCEA to uphold integrity, while embracing innovation, and demonstrate great commitment in enhancing Hong Kong’s development vitality, maintaining social stability, and improving public welfare.

As an annual flagship event, co-hosted by InvestHK and HKCEA, the Spring Reception serves as a key platform for fostering dialogue and building consensus among Chinese enterprises in Hong Kong, the HKSAR Government, and various sectors of society. Over the years, it has played a pivotal role in strengthening collaboration and deepening mutual understanding within the community.
