China Resources Group (CR Group) Conducts Research and Collaboration Exchange Visits to City University of Hong Kong and The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen

On February 18-19, Mr. Han Yuewei, Vice General Manager of China Resources Group, led a delegation to visit the City University of Hong Kong (CityU) and The Chinese University of Hong Kong (Shenzhen) (CUHK-Shenzhen) for onsite research and exchange. The delegation held discussions with Prof. Anderson Sham Ho Cheung, Vice President of CityU, and Prof. Tom Luo Zhiquan, Vice President of CUHK-Shenzhen, to explore the advancement in industry-academia-research collaborations.

During the visit, Vice General Manager Mr. Han Yuewei, and his delegation gained a comprehensive understanding of the founding history, academic program, and research collaborations. Mr. Han emphasized the potential for future collaboration in joint research initiatives, technology exchange, commercialization of research outcomes, and talent development. He proposed establishing a regular communication mechanism to advance cooperation in key fields such as biopharmaceuticals, new energy, artificial intelligence (AI), and digital technology.

Prof. Shum expressed a warm welcome to CR Group and highlighted the need to leverage both parties’ strengths to jointly promote the implementation of collaborative projects such as "Industry-Academia-Research 1+" Initiative. Prof. Luo stressed the importance of jointly promoting project applications, collaborative R&D, and transformation of research findings, establishing exemplary models for industry-academia-research partnerships.

The exchanges were attended by Prof. Zheng Wang, CityU Associate Vice President, as well as Prof. Tony Li, CUHK-Shenzhen Party Secretary and Associate Vice President, along with representatives from relevant university departments. CR Group participants included representatives from its Strategic Management Department, Human Resources Department, Scientific and Technological Innovation Department, related business units, and directly subordinate organizations.
