China Resources Group and Television Broadcasts Limited (TVB) Host “No Poverty Land IV - Belt and Road” Press Conference in Hong Kong

On 16 September, the press conference for “No Poverty Land IV - Belt and Road,” co-hosted by China Resources Group (“CR Group” or “The Group”) and Television Broadcasts Limited (TVB), took place at the China Resources Building in Hong Kong. Attendees included Wang Songmiao, the Secretary General of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Hong Kong S.A.R; Wang Xiangming, Chairman of CR Group; Hui To, Executive Chairman of TVB; Huang Jingrui, Director-General of the Department of Media and Public Relations of the Commissioner’s office of China’s Foreign Ministry in the Hong Kong S.A.R; Lan Yi, Vice General Manager of CR Group; Siu Sai Wo, General Manager (Business Operations) of TVB; Yu Xiao, President of the Hong Kong Chinese Enterprises Association; and Li Shuguang, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Publicity, Cultural and Sports Affairs of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Hong Kong S.A.R. Representatives from the Group General Office, Mass Work Department, CR Enterprise, CR Property, CR Corporate Service, TVB, and the “No Poverty Land” production team were also in attendance.Chairman Wang Xiangming, on behalf of CR Group, expressed gratitude to every friend who supports and cares about the program. He noted that since 2021, CR Group has collaborated with TVB, participating in the planning, creation, and naming broadcast of the “No Poverty Land” documentary series. The first three seasons of “No Poverty Land” aimed to showcase China’s achievements in poverty alleviation, ecological conservation, and ethnic integration, receiving widespread acclaim upon airing. Rooted in Hong Kong for 86 years, CR Group has always closely linked its own development to that of Hong Kong, striving to actively serve the people while promoting economic prosperity and social progress. Going forward, CR Group will continue to strengthen cooperation with all sectors in Hong Kong to jointly safeguard the long-term prosperity and stability of the city.

Chairman Hui To sincerely thanked CR Group for its steadfast support over the years. He mentioned that over the past three years, the two parties have been telling compelling Chinese stories together, producing the series of documentaries “No Poverty Land,” “No Poverty Land II - A Treasure Trove,” and “No Poverty Land III - A Vast Expanse,” showcasing China’s significant achievements in poverty alleviation, environmental protection, and infrastructure development. These documentaries, with their authentic and highly engaging style, have received enthusiastic responses domestically and internationally, projecting a strong Chinese voice to the world. He hopes that the upcoming “No Poverty Land IV - Belt and Road” will further deepen the audience’s understanding of China’s role and contributions in the global economy.

“No Poverty Land IV - Belt and Road” is set to premiere on 6 October at 10 p.m. on TVB Jade. The program explores seven Belt and Road countries including the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Greece, Serbia, Egypt, Madagascar, and Kenya. There will also be interviews of Chinese builders who silently contribute in these countries by constructing railways, bridges, ports for those in need; imparting Chinese technology; sharing Chinese wisdom; and contributing Chinese strength under challenging conditions, earning applause worldwide with Chinese intelligence and quality.
