On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of Hong Kong’s return to the Motherland, Chinese President Xi Jinping, also General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee and Chairman of the Central Military Commission, arrived in Hong Kong on June 30 to attend the Celebrations for the 25th Anniversary of Hong Kong’s Return to the Motherland and the Inaugural Ceremony for the Sixth Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
On the afternoon of June 30, President Xi Jinping met with the heads of the offices set up by the Central People’s Government in Hong Kong and major Chinese organisations in Hong Kong. Chairman Wang Xiangming was invited to attend the meeting.
On the morning of July 1, President Xi Jinping attended the Meeting Celebrating the 25th Anniversary of Hong Kong’s Return to the Motherland and the Inaugural Ceremony of the Sixth Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. Chairman Wang Xiangming attended the ceremony, witnessed the swearing-in of the new HKSAR Government and listened to President Xi Jinping’s important address.
