During September 13-17, General Manager Qiao Shibo made inspection and research visits to enterprises of CR Pharmaceuticals, CR Gas, CR Beer, Vanguard and CR Land in Jilin and Inner Mongolia.

In Changchun, Qiao listened to reports of the management teams of CR (Jilin) Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., Jilin Connell Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. on the development of distribution channels and inspected the Pharmaceutical Logistics Center of Cornell. During his inspection and research, Qiao urged that the enterprises should focus on the development of the modern pharmaceutical logistic system, speed up the introduction and implementation of the HLI Pharmacy Automated Logistics System, and, taking this as an opportunity, set up a chained distribution service system covering the storage, distribution and pharmacy delivery, with the view of enhancing the sales capacity targeting at large medical institutions, developing differentiated competition advantages and creating values for customers.

In Liaoyuan City, Baicheng City and Nong’an County, Qiao visited local branches of CR Gas and inspected the gas supplying stations, gas service centers and operation monitoring centers. He also inspected the LNG Liquid Gas Project of a scale of 300,000 tons in Nong’an that is to be put into operation soon and listened to the management team of CR (Changchun) Gas on its visions for the construction, management and development of the project. Qiao spoke highly of the construction efficiency and quality of the LNG Project of CR (Changchun) Gas. He pointed out that the LNG Project should explore an effective approach of developing regional markets independent of the urban pipeline network. To this end, the enterprise should quicken its talent training, constantly export professional management capacity, deepen its cooperation with local government, Sinopec and other enterprises, advocate the use of liquid gas as a clean energy resource, build sustainable development capacity and constantly increase the market share.

In Nong’an County in Jilin and Ulan Hot in Inner Mongolia, Qiao held a conference with the management of a local enterprise of CR Snow Breweries, hearing reports on the production and operation and learning about problems and difficulties. Speaking of loss of talents on key posts and low income of first-line employees, among other problems threatening the enterprise, Qiao pointed out that the income of the first-line employees should not be lower than the average income of local employees in the same industry and that the income of employees should grow at the same rate as the profit of the enterprise. He urged that the remuneration system of the enterprise should be adjusted on the basis of this goal and a fair and reasonable remuneration system on the basis of the profit of the enterprise should be established.

In Changchun, Qiao visited the largest Vanguard supermarket in the city, asked in detail about the average sales per square meter, food quality and safety, procurement channels and procurement policies, and the sales of products of Ng Fung, CR Snow Breweries and C’estbon in the supermarket. According to Qiao, to improve the operational efficiency of supermarkets, it is important to promote staff quality, build professional teams, optimize the supplier structure, increase the variety of merchantable goods, ensure safety and prevent damages. The sustainability of the business of the enterprise depends on the customer satisfaction.

After only a few years of development, CR’s business in Jilin expanded from only the beer industry to cover the beer, pharmaceutical, gas, wind power, supermarket and real estate industries. The development could not be possible without the hard work of employees. Qiao expressed the heartfelt appreciation of the work of the first-line managers and employees and best wishes for the coming holidays on behalf of the management of the Group. He also expressed his hope for the management to practice the requirement of “being kind to employees”, constantly create space for occupational development and improve the work and life conditions of employees.

During the inspection, Qiao also separately met with Mayor Jiang Zhiying of Changchun, CPC Secretary Wu Lan and Mayor Jin Yuhui of Liaoyuan, CPC Secretary Li Jinxiu and Mayor An Guiwu of Baicheng, in Jilin Province and CPC Secretary Miao Yinzhu of Xing’an League, Mayor Zhu Chengbang and Deputy Mayor Chen Dong of Ulan Hot in Inner Mongolia. He expressed his appreciation for the support local governments have given to CR and exchanged ideas for further cooperation and mutual development with those local government leaders.

Accompanying Qiao on the inspection and research visit were heads of the Directors’ Office and the Strategy Management Department as well as heads of local enterprises of CR Snow Breweries, CR Gas, CR New Energy, Vanguard and CR Land.
