CR Power Given Best Award for Asian Sustainable Development Report

On February 6, 2018, China Resources Power (CR Power) was given the Award for Best Environment Report in Asia, the Award for Most Transparent Report in Asia and the Award for Best Sustainable Development Report in Asia as CSRWorks, an Asia-based social responsibility authority, unveiled the 2017 Asian Sustainable Development Report Awards in Singapore. CR Power beat hundreds of competing companies to win these awards.


Compiled in accordance with the latest international and domestic standards including the GRI Sustainability Reporting Guidelines (G4) issued by the Global Reporting Initiative, the Chinese Corporate Social Responsibility Reporting Guidelines (CASS-CSR3.0) issued by Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, and the Environmental, Social and Governance Reporting Guidelines (HK-ESG) issued by the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, CR Power's 2016 Sustainable Development Report provides a comprehensive and objective view on how the Company has performed its economic, environmental and social responsibilities, as well as summarizes its achievements and performance.


The report gave a systematic disclosure of CR Power’s unremitting efforts and achievements in renewable energy development, energy conservation and emission reduction, resource recycling and comprehensive utilization, ecological civilization construction and other aspects. To enhance information transparency and address public concern on the environmental impacts of energy companies, CR Power has, for two consecutive years, invited independent third parties to verify the atmospheric emission index data used in the report. The awards given by CSRWorks reflect the high recognition of the quality of CR Power’s social responsibility and sustainable development report by the international social responsibility authority.

The Asian Sustainable Development Report Award is one of the most reputable awards in terms of sustainable development report concept, capability and performance. CR power applied for 6 categories out of 16 this year and got shortlisted for all, ranking first in Hong Kong as the most nominated and trophies winner.
