On January 8, China Resources Pharmaceutical Group Limited (CR Pharma) signed an agreement with the Becton, Dickinson and Company (BD) on establishing strategic cooperation on “Innovative Commercial Channel Project”. The five-year partnership shall begin officially on February 1. Both parties are expected to leverage their strengths in quality production and broad sales coverage and bring their resource advantages with aligned concepts and professional abilities to carry out in-depth cooperation in the field of consumables.

Under the agreement, BD officially authorizes China Resources Pharmaceutical Commercial Medical Devices Co., Ltd., a unit of CR Pharma, as its national distributor of five basic consumables, i.e. syringes (including disposable and auto-disable vaccine syringes), anesthesia bags, three-way valves, heparin caps and two types of indwelling needles. The company shall set up a professional business management and sales promotion team to further expand sales channels in second- and third-tier regions through standardized channels, full-coverage sales network, and strong marketing capabilities so that the broader market in remote areas will also be covered to benefit more patients.
