From June 12 to June 18, China Resources Power (CR Power) sponsored a charity event titled “Dragon 100". CR Power invited 100 outstanding young ethnic Chinese leaders from 14 countries and regions to join a study and exchange trip to Hong Kong, Shenzhen, and Henan. Attendees of the opening ceremony included Ms. Ma Lu, Vice General Manager of China Resources Group, Ms. Liang Aishi, Independent Non-executive Director and leaders of CR Power, The Dragon Foundation and The Hong Kong Federation of Youth Associations.

In her opening speech, Vice General Manager Ma Lu said that China Resources Group was pleased to be part of such an event to promote exchanges among young ethnic Chinese. It is a great opportunity to share Chinese heritage and culture and to nurture sustainable development for the future. She hoped that the young friends in this event could fully appreciate their profound Chinese culture, gain a thorough understanding of the latest practice in the transformational development of China today, and actively propose constructive suggestions on the innovation and development of the country.

The Chinese youth delegation attended the Global Youth Entrepreneurs Forum in Hong Kong and Shenzhen. After that, they travelled to Henan, the birthplace of Chinese civilization. They visited Zhengzhou University and the Zhengzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone. One particular stop on their journey was the Shouyangshan Project of CR Power, located in Luoyang, Henan. The young delegates were impressed by the neat and tidy factory area, the compact main control room, CR’s nearly zero-emission technology and the numerous significant achievements of the agrotourism farm.

Dragon 100 is an annual event since 2002 hosted by the Hong Kong Dragon Foundation. It is committed to the fostering of young ethnic Chinese leaders from around the world and promoting their mutual exchanges. The theme this time was “Vision for a Better Future: Innovation for Sustainable Growth in China”. This year's event aimed at gathering the young delegates to teach them about China's current economic and innovation development status as well as China’s history. The Dragon 100 Delegates also discussed significant issues that affect global development as they strengthened friendship ties among ethnic Chinese youngsters, taking advantage of the power of youth.
