Kunming Children's Hospital Receives JCI Accreditation

According to a formal report from Joint Commission International (JCI) headquarters in Chicago on January 17, the Kunming Children's Hospital has become the first Grade-3 public hospital recognized by the JCI accreditation in Southwest China. The JCI criterion is recognized as the world’s "gold standard" for medical quality management, representing the highest level of hospital service and management.

JCI conducted an official audit of Kunming Children’s hospital from January 9-13. JCI’s professional panel carried out a rigourous and meticulous inspectionof 1,200 factors, such as medical care, medicine, nursing care, equipment, information, personnel, logistics, security, infection control, filing of medical records, on-site fire fighting equipment and eclectiry circuit mapping , management of high-risk items, security access control. The panel was impressed by the hospital’s outstanding performance in all screened aspects.
