China Resources Yantai Nylon Co., Ltd. (“CR Nylon”) and Invista held a ceremony to sign a licensing agreement on nylon 6,6 polymerization technology in Shenzhen on December 29, 2021.

Taking the opportunity of “relocating from the city to an industrial park”, CR Nylon strives to develop an internationally competitive new nylon material industrial and R&D base by introducing the slicing polymerization technology of Invista, a global leader in production of nylon 6,6, and in combination with its own industrial base and experiences. The project base is located in Yantai Economic and Technological Development Area, Shandong Province, China. It adopts Invista’s patented nylon 6,6 salt process and advanced continuous polymerization technology, which has excellent safety and environmental performance, high reliability and long operating life, and can provide better quality products for the industry with lower operating costs while reducing energy consumption to meet the growing demand for nylon 6,6.

As expressed by the responsible person of CR Nylon, this authorization for polymerization technology is a win-win cooperation that will enhance the local supply capacity to meet the demand arising from the rapid development of the nylon 6,6 industry in China, and will become an important initiative of the company to achieve transformation and upgrading.
