On May 19, China Resources Group Chairman Fu Yuning met with New Zealand Prime Minister RT Hon Bill English and his entourage. The two sides had friendly talks and reached a wide consensus on strengthening the bilateral cooperation and on increasing investments.

Chairman Fu Yuning extended his warm welcome to Prime Minister Bill English and his entourage. He gave an introduction of CR’s business, CR’s investments in New Zealand and the sales situation of related products in the China market. Fu said New Zealand is rich in natural resources, and the premium agricultural products meet China market’s demand for consumption upgrade. Thus CR will proactively increase the investment in New Zealand and promote the sale of its premium products in China to satisfy Chinese consumers’ demands for good products in the future.

Prime Minister Bill English was grateful for CR’s commitment to accelerating the development of New Zealand’s food industry. He said the New Zealand government valued the trade with China. The Prime Minister expressed his hope that the comprehensive strategic partnership between New Zealand and China could be strengthened, to create a fertile business and investment environment, and to support the further development of New Zealand’s enterprises and benefit the people of the two countries. The New Zealand government encourages CR to increase investments in the country and is willing to provide support as needed.
